Bismillah,
Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!
"In fact, those who sell the covenants of Allah and their own oaths for a petty price, shall have no portion in the hereafter. Allah will neither speak to them nor even look at them nor cleanse them(from their sins) on the Day of Judgement; they shall have a painful punishment."(Surah A'l-e-Imran - Verse 77)
How easily we choose this material world over Allah's commandments! And to think that because of this Allah will not even look at us on the Last Day...forget allowing us in heaven.
Is this what we want? Have our hearts become so cold and hard that displeasing Allah does not even make us cringe? Why do we stare blank faced when the beautiful verses of the Holy Quran are being read out? Why do our tears not flow and our hearts not humble when Allah addresses us?
Surely it is not too late. As long as we are alive and living, we have time. Start from today; from right now. Allah is always present whenever we call Him. Let us call Him more frequently from now on.
"...And seek forgiveness of Allah; surely Allah is Forgiving, Compassionate."(Surah Muzzammil - Verse 20)
